PhD in Social-Personality Psychology, UB;
Lecturer, Higher Education

During my time as a graduate student in the psychology department, I was provided a wide-array of opportunities to develop my own personal interests and strengths, preparing me for work as a Lecturer overseas. While in graduate school, with the guidance and support of faculty advisors, I taught multiple independent courses, mentored undergraduate thesis students, gained hands-on experience managing and operating laboratory spaces, and collaborated with researchers across various disciplines. Importantly, I was granted an immense amount of creative freedom in my research pursuits, producing and ultimately publishing studies that were not simply replications or extensions of my advisors' research, but represented my own unique theoretical contributions to the field. Overall, I recommend UB's open and collaborative environment to any students seeking to grow and expand their interests and skills as aspiring independent researchers and educators.
