BA in Psychology, Minors in Statistics and Spanish, UB;
PhD student, Social Psychology
The highlight of my time as a Psychology Major at UB was interacting with the faculty through research experience. I was a research assistant in psychology for all but one of my semesters at UB, and this work solidified my interests in social psychological research. The apex was my senior Psychology Honors thesis, through which I pushed myself and grew immensely.
The depth and breadth of the UB Psychology major prepared me well for doctoral study in Social Psychology by providing me with foundational knowledge and the skills to seek out answers to questions of my own.
Read faculty’s research interests online, and for ideas that excite you, talk about it with them in their office hours. Then ask to get involved in research!”
