Undergraduate scholarships and awards
Every year, several awards are made available to undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences thanks to the generosity of our donors and alumni. These awards provide support as students continue their academic journey at UB.

Student emergency funds seek to award grants to eligible students who are experiencing an unforeseen hardship that could impact their ability to remain enrolled in school. Temporary financial assistance is available for immediate and current emergency situations.
This fund was created for the purpose of assisting College of Arts and Sciences students in the pursuit of experiential learning opportunities.
Deadlines
- November 1: Winter and Spring funding
- April 15: Summer and Fall funding
Students who complete the College of Arts and Sciences Experiential Learning Fund application by the deadlines above will be considered for the following scholarships:

- Gerace Dean's Innovation Fund
- Panas-Matz Scholars Fund
- Paul and Christine Nussbaum Experiential Learning Innovation Fund
- Paul Pizzella and Marta Ayala Experiential Learning Fund
- Rosalind Jarrett Sepulveda and Lamar Sepulveda Experiential Learning
- Sam and Anne Savarino Fund
- Walker Family Experiential Learning Fund
- Walter and Miriam Hass Student Excellence Fund
- William C. & Annette L. Rock Fund for CAS Study Abroad
General application
Complete the general application each academic year to be considered for a wide range of UB philanthropic scholarships and awards.
In addition to scholarships offered through their academic departments, College of Arts and Sciences students will also be considered for the following:

The Western New York (WNY) Prosperity Scholarship program has been designed to assist undergraduate and graduate students who are actively preparing for careers that further economic development and growth, especially in the Western New York region.
