Buffalo High School Aspire Scholarship

The University at Buffalo touches thousands of lives within the Buffalo community every day, helping to guide the Western New York region toward a brighter future. As a symbol of its commitment to the city of Buffalo, the UB College of Arts and Sciences has established the Buffalo Public High School Aspire Scholarship.

This scholarship is aimed at enhancing educational opportunities at UB for graduates from City of Buffalo public high schools. All first-generation college students are encouraged to apply, with preference given to graduate of Bennett High School.

With the assistance of this scholarship, students will be able to cover expenses such as the cost of in-state tuition; fees; room and board; and books and supplies. Each year, one student from each standing year (freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior) will be awarded a $1000 scholarship. Each successful recipient will continue to receive $1000 annually over a maximum of four years of undergraduate study, as long as the minimum acceptable GPA (per UB’s academic standards) is maintained. The GPA will be reviewed annually.
