An art exhibition poster, for the show "Word's Matter" by Karolina Zyniewicz. Depicts a red latex sculpture modelled after what a healthy human liver looks like, with a watermark background image of a cancerous liver.
An art exhibition poster, for the show "Paralysis" by Sam Krakowski. Depicts a stringy web of pinkish tan threads/waves, on a black background.

Paralysis explores the profound impact that pharmaceuticals have on our cognitive and emotional wellbeing. The intricate interplay between chemical intervention and neural perception. Inviting viewers to confront the complexities of medication’s effects on consciousness, identity, and our interactions with each other.

Working from influences like Tony Oursler, Sarah Sze and Aaron Koblin, Sam Krakowski has worked to create a space with wall-to-wall projections that could create an intimate escape from mundane activities. Participants are invited to walk around or sit in the space, while the projections are meditative, the soundscape makes for a more unnerving experience as it is a mixture of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) sound effects, drug commercials and ambient noise.

Sam Krakowski is a 2nd year MFA Candidate in the Department of Art.
