Greek History

The department offers innovative, interdisciplinary training in uncovering and interpreting the social and political history of the Greeks from the early Archaic age to the Roman period. Faculty are engaged in research ranging from studies of Greeks tyranny and democracy, to inscriptions (epigraphy) and the Greek Novel. An annual Summer Session Study Abroad Program is run by departmental faculty members in Greece.
