Tom has nearly two decades of experience valuing businesses for many different purposes. He is currently a Vice President at MPI, where he provides valuation opinions to business owners and their attorneys primarily to assist with estate planning and exit planning. He previously held positions at national and regional CPA firms, including Marcum and Freed Maxick, where he provided business owners with valuation opinions to assist with many different purposes, including planning, financial reporting, litigation, and transactions. Tom began his career in the equity research division at Citi, where he valued the stock of public companies in the retail, homebuilding, and airline industries to provide investment recommendations to institutional investors. Tom is an active participant in the community with involvement via the CFA Society Buffalo, the Estate Planning Council of Western New York, the Financial Planning Association of Western New York, and University at Buffalo's Terese Kelly Investment Group.
