Experiential Learning

Our faculty are actively incorporating these woods into their classes. Our Anthropology, Geology, Geography and Environment and Sustainability deparments all have professors that use Letchworth Teaching Forest in their classes.

Get Involved!

The University at Buffalo openly welcomes and encourages anyone to find new and innovative ways of incorporating the Letchworth Teaching Forest into their agendas. This location is the ideal place to explore experiential learning or training opportunities. The Boy and Girl Scouts of America, environmental groups, or any students can easily utilize this forest for a hands-on learning experience. The marked trails are a great location to switch up your running route as well. The Sweet Home High School’s Cross-Country Team uses the trail for practices, and other runners are welcome to do the same.
