Congratulations to Will Wood, MA student, who earned their degree this semester, working on their MA project with graduate advisor, Dr. David Herzberg, entitled “The Houston Women’s Conference of 1977: A Look at Second-Wave Feminisms Focusing on Latinas and Women of Color.” The History Department wishes Will good luck on their future endeavors! 🎉

Professional Updates

  • December 19, 2024: Chijioke Ngobili, PhD student, published an interview article featuring Emeritus Professor John Collins in the "Journal of the Musical Arts in Africa."
  • December 4, 2024: Chijioke Ngobili, PhD student, presented a guest lecture on UB’s North Campus titled: “The Largest Sociocultural Convergence of the Atlantic in West Africa and the Making of Global Popular Music Culture: WWII’s Legacy.”
  • September 9, 2024: Shu Wan, PhD student, published an article on using ChatGPT in history classrooms in "Information Technology and Libraries."
