Michael Rembis, associate professor of history and director of UB’s Center for Disability Studies, was recently quoted in a “Salon” article examining how budget cuts by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) are affecting people with disabilities.
The story highlights growing concerns that these cuts are reducing access to essential services, making it harder for people with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
