Cody's article, "Burning Closets and Nights in the Woods," is on queer pastorals, anti-pastorals, and ecological alliances in video games. It uses anti-pastorals and Rust Belt environments in games to challenge the tendency to romanticize and idealize “nature,” and questions what we lose and what violences we do when we assume that nonhuman beings want anything to do with us.
Professor Christine Marie will be presenting at the 20 International Convention of the Magic Lantern Society of the United States and Canada held at the historic, art deco, Queen Mary ship in Long Beach, California.
