Media advisory: UB to host its largest job and career fair Wednesday on North Campus

For UB students and alumni, the event will bring more than 100 local and national companies to Alumni Arena

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Whether UB students are seeking full-time jobs or internships, CareerFest 2014 is an important step.

More than 100 local and national companies representing a wide range of career fields will be present. To see a list of those companies, visit the Career Services calendar

“Each year, UB’s CareerFest draws almost 2,000 UB students from all majors, as well as employers from around the country looking to recruit the best and brightest,” said Arlene Kaukus, director of UB Career Services. “Students who start career exploration early have the most success finding employment. CareerFest gives them access to employers they would not otherwise have and for all students, this is extremely valuable.”

When: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, March 12

Open to UB students and alumni only, CareerFest offers a photo booth where students can have professional photos taken for their LinkedIn account. For help with crafting effective resumes and preparing for job searching, Career Services offers its free Express Career Consults program Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., in 259 Capen Hall.
