After a 15-year professional international touring career with The Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Aspen CO, Samantha is excited to be home in the WNY area. With ASFB, Samantha was featured in the creations and commissions of over 45 ballets by world famous choreographers such as Jorma Elo, Twyla Tharp, Jiri Kylian, Nicolo Fonte, Cayetano Soto, Dwight Rhoden, Moses Pendleton, Fernando Melo, Alejandro Cerrudo, Norbert de la Cruz, Helen Pickett, Trey McIntyre, Jacapo Godani, Itzik Galili, Thierry Malandain, Dominique Dumais, Septime Webre, Paul Taylor and David Parsons. Samantha toured and performed in hundreds of cities domestically and
internationally, including top venues such as The Joyce Theatre (NYC), Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival (MA) City Center (NYC) The Kennedy Center (Washington DC), Russian Academic Youth Theatre (Moscow, RU), Teatro degli Arcimboldi (Milan, IT), as well as in Brazil, Israel, Greece, Canada, and Guatemala.
Sam has been a featured artist in several publications, such as Dance Magazine, Origin Magazine, Pointe Magazine, and Dance Spirit Magazine, and a Brand Ambassador for Capezio Dancewear, Shock Absorb USA, Hyde Yoga, and Fre´Skincare. She also has numerous print, commercial, runway, lifestyle, and fitness modeling credits.
Upon retirement from the stage in September 2016, Samantha shifted her focus to share her passion, experience, and love of dance with the next generation of artists and professional dancers around the country. Samantha staged Cayetano Soto’s, Schachmatt, for Philadelphia based, BalletX and has been a guest teacher at The School of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet CO, University at Buffalo Department of Theatre and Dance, The Chautauqua Institution, LIV Travel Team NY, Colorado Ballet CO, The Arts Hub CO, Millennium Dance Complex CO, Boulder Ballet CO, and The American Academy of Ballet NY. She is currently on the faculty at Mary Alice’s Dance Studio in New York, where the National Company dancers showcase her choreography. Samantha also offers in-person and virtual private lessons. Past students have gone on to pursue dance at the collegiate and conservatory level and can be seen performing off-Broadway and on the Radio City stage. Campanile currently holds a seat on the Board of Directors of the Neglia Conservatory of Ballet.
Besides taking on the roles of dance educator, choreographer, and stager… ‘New Momma’ was added to her repertoire in July 2017 with the birth of her first baby girl. In 2019, Samantha returned to the stage as a guest artist with The Aspen Santa Fe Ballet during their 2019 run at The Joyce Theatre in NYC. Baby girl #2 was born in February 2020, and her son was born in April 2024.
Samantha is honored to be on the Adjunct Ballet Faculty at the University at Buffalo Department of Theatre and Dance. She has a passion for cultivating a strongly diverse and technically proficient dancer. In Spring of 2025, Ms Campanile made her first work with UB’s Zodiaque Dance Company, “The Space Between”, a contemporary ballet, ensemble work. Ms. Campanile also holds a BA in the Arts from State University of New York, Empire State College, 2008, and attended SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance, 01-03. Before her professional career, she studied at The School of American Ballet, NYC, The Chautauqua Institution, NY, New York State Summer School of the Arts, NY, and The American Academy of Ballet, NY. Sam is also a certified coach of Progressing Ballet Technique™ as well as The Bloom Method™ Pre & Postnatal Fitness and a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist and Diastasis Core Consultant.
