Robyn Horn (she/her) is a director, actor, educator, and PhD Candidate in Theatre and Performance. Prior to moving to Buffalo in 2018, she worked as an actor in NYC and regional theatre and taught theatre at a performing arts high school in NJ. In Buffalo, she has received two Best Director Artie Award nominations for the world-premiere productions of Berserker and The Aleph Complex, both at Alleyway Theatre, and a Best Actress in a Musical Artie nomination for playing Adult Alison in Fun Home at MusicalFare/Shea’s 710. She directed this fall's production of What the Constitution Means to Me at the Kavinoky Theatre and has acted with SIDP, RLTP, and in the short film, this is not a pipe dream. In addition to teaching at UB, Robyn is a 2023-24 Visiting Assistant Professor in theatre and directing at Niagara University, the Assistant Editor of Theatre Journal, and she is a 2024 American Examples fellow. Her scholarly writing was published in the edited collection Theatre and the Macabre, and she is contributing chapters to two forthcoming books.
