Why did you choose economics?

JJ: I chose Economics because I was interested in the way many aspects of life can be explained by concepts in economics.

Which class in the major has been your favorite and why?

JJ: My favourite class in the major was Econometrics with Professor McLaughlin. I was able to learn how to use a data analysis software to observe trends. The class was both enjoyable and educational.

Which class outside the major has been your favorite and why?

JJ: My favourite class outside the major was Stone Axe to Tank with Professor Boyd. It was an interactive class that encouraged creativity and participation.

What is your top piece of advice for students in the economics major?

JJ: Don’t rush. Take your time.  Your professors are always there if you need help
