- Dynamic Learning Experience: In six weeks, you'll dive into real-world case studies of LEED-certified projects, explore integrated design principles, understand third-party verification processes and navigate the intricacies of LEED administration.
- Current Topics and Trends: Stay updated with the latest news and trends in green building practices. Engage in discussions on current topics and explore pragmatic ideas for implementing LEED principles.
- Expert Instruction: Learn from Swathi Karamcheti, PhD, from the UB Department of Environment and Sustainability, a seasoned professional in sustainability methods, LEED certification coaching, research methodology and higher education leadership.
In this hybrid course, you'll learn the fundamental concepts of the USGBC, explore LEED certification and prepare for the LEED Green Associate exam from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).

- Current UB Graduate Students: After contacting your Academic Advisor, you can register for course EVS 589 (1 credit) in HUB Student Center.
- Community Members (Earn 1 College Credit): Non-UB students can register as Non-Degree Seeking Students. For $454.23, earn one college credit which will appear on an official UB transcript. The Course #: 24346. Student Account fees may apply.
