Dr. Paul Rodell (MA '82, PhD '92) recently co-edited with Dr. Cathy Skidmore-Hess a Special Report, The Global South and Ukraine. The report is available for free download from Georgia Southern University.
Dr. Molly Giblin (BA '03 and MA '05) was recently named the new Director of Programs for Princeton in Asia. In this role, Molly will lead the development, implementation, and improvement of PiA’s three programs: the core fellowship program for recent graduates, the Carriebright fellowship for recent alumni, and summer internships for Princeton undergraduates.
Prof. Hal Langfur published a new book, Adrift on an Inland Sea: Misinformation and the Limits of Empire in the Brazilian Backlands with Stanford University Press!
On October 17, 2022 UB welcomed 34 VITAL Scholars (UB’s Visiting Future Faculty program). Of the 34 outstanding scholars 5 are PhD candidates in History. On Friday May 8, 2022, UB's Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honor Society, inducted 39 new members! This is UB's largest cohort of new PAT students to date!
Prof. Sarah Handley-Cousins was honored at UB's annual Celebration of Faculty & Staff Excellence on Ocotber 28, 2021. Prof. Handley-Cousins was honored for winning a highly prestigious ACLS fellowship. Prof. Handley-Cousins was one of only 2 faculty in the university to be honored for winning a highly prestigious fellowship. Congratulations, Prof. Handley-Cousins!
