  • Dr. Elisabeth George Wins Dissertation Award

    Congratulations to History alum, Dr. Elisabeth George! Dr. George's 2019 dissertation “Lesbian and Gay Life in the Queen City and Beyond: Resistance, Space, and Community Mobilization in the Southwest Missouri Ozarks,” won the 2021 John D’Emilio LGBTQ History Dissertation Award for the best PhD dissertation in U.S. LGBTQ history!

  • Stapleton's Book Published in Malayalam

  • Derek Taylor Awarded UCLA Predoctoral Fellowship

    Doctoral candidate Derek Taylor has been awarded a Predoctoral Fellowship by the Clark Library/Center for 17th-and-18th Century Studies at UCLA. Derek will be in residency at the center for two months during the Fall 2020 semester, continuing research toward his dissertation project. Derek's project focuses on the early life and published works of George Conn, a native of Aberdeenshire, Scotland, who served as the papal legate to the court of Queen Henrietta Maria from 1636-1639.
