Step into your future at UB. 

If you are a high school senior or a transfer student interested in studying history, your first step is to apply to the University at Buffalo. 

When completing your UB application, be sure to indicate History as your intended major. 

Find admissions criteria, the online application, deadlines and test score information through UB Undergraduate Admissions. 

Already a UB student?

Want to add or switch to a history major or minor?

If you are a current undergraduate student changing to the major (Bachelor of Arts) or minor in History, please complete and submit the CAS Major/Minor Change Request form. 

Submit the CAS Major/Minor Change Request form to request one of the following changes to your academic plan:

  • Add a major, minor, or certificate in the College of Arts and Sciences
  • Drop any major
  • Drop any minor
