The German minor includes a sequence of language courses followed by advanced coursework.
You will:
- Complete intermediate German language courses
- Take six upper-level German courses (300/400 level)
- Begin at the appropriate level based on your prior experience

Your starting level depends on your background in German.
- Students with little or no experience begin with introductory courses
- Students with prior experience may place into higher levels
- Introductory requirements may be waived based on demonstrated proficiency
