BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo will present "Franklin's Class Concert" at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Feb. 15 in the Mainstage theater located at the Center for the Arts on the UB North (Amherst) Campus. The Center for the Arts TOPS Family Adventure series is sponsored by TOPS Markets, WGRZ-TV, and Star 102.5.

"Franklin's Class Concert" is a full-length, playful and entertaining musical production that features Franklin and all his pals: Fox, Beaver, Bear and Snail. In this story, it's time for the annual class concert. Everyone will perform a special number, but Franklin fears that he has no talent! Just when he thought it couldn't get worse, the concert happens earlier than expected. What will happen when Beaver suffers from stage fright, Snail can't hit the high note and Fox is unable to make someone reappear after they disappear in his magic act! Watch and see if the gang can bring the concert together with just minutes to spare, in a show filled with non-stop singing, dancing and audience participation.

Since the first book, "Franklin in the Dark," was published in 1986, Franklin has gained worldwide fame. The series of books, written by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark, have sold over 30 million copies around the globe, and the resulting television series is one of the highest rated kids programs on all U.S. broadcast cable networks and syndicated television. Imaginative storylines and memorable art have made Franklin a friend to every child. Franklin and his pals help to reassure children that it's okay to feel a myriad of ever-changing emotions, and encourage young people to solve problems on their own.
