UB's Millard Fillmore College to Hold Summer Computer Workshops

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Interested in building and repairing your own computer? Looking for a morning workshop for someone who is fairly new to using computers? Thinking of creating a Web page for your church group or sports team?

Millard Fillmore College at the University at Buffalo will present a series of workshops this summer for adults with little or no computer experience.

The MFC Summer Computer Workshops are designed to help participants strengthen their basic computer skills, learn specific software applications and increase their knowledge of computer and Internet technologies.

The workshops will be held from 9 a.m. to noon each day on the North and South campuses. The cost of each workshop is $149, plus materials. The schedule:

• Building and Repairing Your Computer: July 12-16

• Learning Windows and the Internet: July 19-23

• Learning Microsoft Office: July 26-30

• Creating a Web Site for Small Business or Nonprofit Organizations: Aug. 2-6

Participants who complete each workshop will be eligible for continuing education unit (CEU) credit from MFC.
