Members of the media will have a chance to see and even try their hand at using a new, robotic surgery simulator invented by University at Buffalo engineers and collaborators at Roswell Park Cancer Institute that will improve robotic surgery training and practice.

The new product will be unveiled tomorrow (Thursday, Feb. 25) at 10 a.m. in the Gaylord Cary Meeting Room in RPCI's Research Studies Center.

The new product is the result of 10 years of innovation at UB's Virtual Reality Lab combined with RPCI's expertise in robotic surgery.

The collaboration has led to creation of a new UB/RPCI spinoff company in Western New York called Simulated Surgicals LLC.

Great visuals! Excellent health care and economic development story.

Press arrangements: Ellen Goldbaum in the UB Office of University Communications at 645-4605 and on-site at 771-9255.
