Media Advisory: New York Fed President William Dudley to speak at UB on Oct. 27

William C. Dudley, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, will speak at the University at Buffalo from 4-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, in the Student Union Theater on the UB North Campus.

His presentation will be titled "How Goes the Recovery? Challenges for the Nation, the Region and the Fed." It will be followed by a question-and-answer session with audience members and then a briefing with the media.

Members of the media must register to attend by contacting John DellaContrada in the UB Office of Communications at 716-645-4601 or dellacon@buffalo.edu no later than 11 a.m. on Oct. 27. Members of the media may be asked to show press credentials.

Dudley serves as vice chair and a permanent member of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the group responsible for formulating the nation's monetary policy.

The event is sponsored by the UB School of Management, UB Office of Economic Engagement and UB's Office of the Provost.
