Event will feature $25K in cash prizes; Bill Rancic, bestselling author and winner of “The Apprentice,” to present keynote address

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The University at Buffalo’s Bright Buffalo Niagara program will showcase the next wave of entrepreneurs and promising startup companies on June 15, and will include a keynote address by Bill Rancic, entrepreneur, investor and winner of “The Apprentice.”

Please note, any requests for interviews with Bill Rancic require pre-approval from the agency of record. Interested parties should contact Julie Molenda no later than Wednesday, June 1.

Registration is open to the public until June 10. BBN is presented by UB’s New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences and sponsored by Superior Group.

When: 1:30-7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15.

What:

  • Opening remarks by CBLS Executive Director Norma Nowak, PhD, will take place at 2 p.m.
  • Live pitches from 35 entrepreneurs will be held from 2:10-4 p.m.
  • Entrepreneur trade show booths and cocktail reception will be open from 4-6 p.m.
  • Keynote address featuring Bill Rancic will run from 6-7 p.m.
  • Award ceremony featuring a $20,000 grand prize and $5,000 people’s choice award will be held from 7-7:15 p.m.

Where: Hotel @ The Lafayette, 391 Washington St., Buffalo.

Who: This year’s BBN Entrepreneur Expo will bring together entrepreneurs, business partners, and angel and venture capital communities. Keynote speak Rancic is a New York Times bestselling author and winner of NBC’s “The Apprentice.”
