“The greatest joy of my experience as a Psychology graduate student at the University at Buffalo came from the opportunity to take part in cutting edge research. I always felt at home in the research laboratory and each day left with a sense of fulfillment, knowing our strides were making a difference. There, I refined my skills as a research scientist in every way possible. From critical thinking and problem solving to writing and presenting to every aspect of experiment implementation; my hands-on training at UB paved the way to success in my current field of biobehavioral research at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. My best advice to all those earning a UB Psychology graduate degree is to take advantage of the incredible opportunities the department has to offer – the experiences you’ll gain while earning your degree will carry you far.” – Kristie June
