The UB Parkinson's Awareness event brought together community members, community partners to give free resources to attendees about Parkinson's Disease. A variety of speakers and discussions were held to help educate attendees about the disease and how they can help those who suffer with it.

Dr. Nichol Castro is a recipient of UB’s Exceptional Scholar: Young Investigator Award. This award celebrates the exceptional scholarship of tenure-track faculty, either through a single piece of scholarship that is universally acclaimed or through a sustained record of endeavors.

We will be closed on June 19th in observance for the Juneteenth holiday. We will be back on the 20th. 

“Lay Language Paper”, a way to talk about the research being presented at the ASA in a conversational and readable way. 

The DEIA in CDS Award acknowledges CDS students' efforts in advancing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access (DEIA) in our local community and/or field of the past 12 months.

Our chapter of NSSLHA was awarded Gold Chapter Honors again this year (5 year in a row). We are one of 101 chapters recognized for this achievement across the US and Puerto Rico.

The CDS Lecture on Inclusion, Multiculturalism, and Belonging (CLIMB) is hosting Dr. Monita Chatterjee for a two-day visit. The purpose of CLIMB is to provide an opportunity for the CDS department and the broader UB community to learn how to implement changes related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in education, research, and clinical practice. 

Taylor Harden is presenting research completed with Dr. DiNino at the American Academy of Audiology meeting in April.
