"My education in Economics […] helped to clarify my career goals. Currently, I am interviewing for positions in the private sector, mostly in climate risk. I hope to gain experience working at a financial institution, to build a second foundation of practical knowledge. Then, I would like to continue my education and later work in a government position dealing with economic development. Once there, I will strive to work with environmental economics, whether it is implementing a cap-and-trade system, subsidizing renewable energy, or establishing greenways in urban cities."

“I believe that one of my ‘mottos’ is to work hard and to push and break your limits to achieve as much as you can, so you can advance and move on down the line with no regrets. 30 years down the line, I want to think back on my undergraduate days and think, ‘Yeah, I did that, I got stuff done’ and be satisfied and not regret trying something else or not trying hard enough. I believe that this scholarship reflects this, as a symbol of perseverance and determination that embodies that motto of no regrets. I will surely look back later in life and feel pride and joy at receiving this gift.”
