Cordell Schachter, BA '83
Chief Technology Officer Cordell Schachter leads New York City Department of Transportation’s IT & Telecom organization which innovates IT services in mobility, software development, mapping, communications, on-site and cloud infrastructure, project management, public data, and customer support. IT & Telecom has received multiple awards for excellence and has appeared in multiple periodicals including the Drucker Institute’s Monday* e-magazine about taming big data.
He was recently featured in an article with the distinction of a Government Technology Top 25 Doer, Dreamer and Driver award — a program started in 2002 to recognize those technology leaders putting their knowledge to work to solve problems and serve their communities.
Cordell Schachter is a UB Economics BA Alum 1983.
