Debarshi Indra, a UB Economics alumnus, will be giving a seminar for our on Monday, October 24 at 5pm ET. The seminar will provide insight into the types of employers outside of academia that actively seek out candidates with PhDs in Economics.
Debarshi will discuss industry positions, including information about in-house econometrics research at firms such as Nielsen, Anheuser-Busch, and Amazon. He will also discuss the increasing importance of econometrics and machine learning in demand estimation and the estimation of heterogeneous treatment effects in the private sector.
