BA in Psychology, Minor in Management, UB;
PhD student, Organizational Science

I thoroughly enjoyed my undergraduate experience at UB because I was heavily involved in the Psychology Department. As a commuter, it's was initially a little more difficult to connect with people. However, I was able to meet people through Psi Chi, the Psychology Honors Program, and psychology research labs.

Currently, I am an Organizational Science PhD Student; I previously an MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. My UB Psychology degree prepared me for my graduate studies by providing training in both research and writing, two skills that are very useful during graduate school. In addition to working towards my PhD, I work as an organizational effectiveness intern. Within the world of practice, I use my knowledge of statistics and data presentation that my UB Psychology degree provided the foundation for.

Psychology is not just about high-level theories or studying to become someone's therapist. Earning a degree in psychology opens you up to a multitude of career paths. Whether you have a career goal in mind or are still trying to figure that out, majoring in Psychology gives you an array of skills and knowledge that prove useful later in life.
