Neel Rao, PhD, is an applied microeconomic researcher with broad interests. His work focuses on labor economics while branching into several fields such as game theory, health, and law. Important themes include wage determination, informational frictions, human capital, social networks, and bargaining. A variety of methodological approaches are integrated, ranging from empirical to theoretical. He has published in and refereed for a number of reputable journals in the economics discipline. He has taught courses in labor economics, economic history, microeconomic theory, and education. He received his AB, AM and PhD in economics from Harvard University.
