Departmental Scholarships

Whenever possible, the Department of Physics attempts to support our undergraduate students in their academic and research endeavors. For further information regarding departmental aid, please contact John Cerne, director of Undergraduate Studies.

Sekula Scholarships

The Dr. Stanley T. Sekula Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1990 through a generous endowment from Mrs. Anne H. Sekula in honor of Dr. Stanley T. Sekula, BA '51. Up to seven scholarships are awarded each year in recognition of exceptional undergraduate students who show academic promise and demonstrate financial need.

Physics Excellence Endowment Fund

The Physics Excellence Endowment supports, among other things, undergraduate research projects and activities of the Society for Physics Students. In addition, the Physics Excellence Endowment funds provide partial support for the department's colloquium and seminar series, and for the tangible recognition of our outstanding faculty and students.

National Scholarships

The Department of Physics encourages and supports undergraduate student applications for prestigious national scholarships and fellowships, such as those offered by the Goldwater, Fulbright and National Science Foundation programs.
