Our combined degree (3+) programs help you complete your BA or BS in Psychology in three years before transitioning directly into graduate study. Through partnerships with several schools across UB, you can earn both degrees in less time and with fewer credits.
The Psychology and Law combined degree prepares students to understand both the science of human behavior and the legal systems that shape society. You'll develop research, analytical and communication skills through psychology before advancing into legal education, where you'll apply those skills to complex legal questions and advocacy.

If you're interested in understanding human behavior and making a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities, the combined Psychology and Social Work degree offers an accelerated path to both degrees. You'll combine the scientific study of psychology with professional social work education, developing the knowledge and practical skills to support people across a variety of settings. Extensive field education provides valuable hands-on experience before graduation.

Both pathways lead to the same Master of Social Work degree but offer different undergraduate preparation.
Students apply to the undergraduate and graduate portions of the programs separately. After completing the prerequisites, Psychology students can apply to the graduate program during their junior year, and if accepted, their senior year will count as the last year of their undergraduate degree as well as their first year of the graduate program.
