CNADM College and Career Fair: November 5-6, 2026 @ Schaumburg, IL

UB Theatre and Dance New York City Auditions: Saturday, January 16, 2027 @ Pearl Studios, New York, NY

VIDEO SUBMISSION OPTIONS:

If unable to attend auditions in person, video submissions may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact Professor Michael Deeb Weaver at mpdeeb@buffalo.edu for consideration.

Special Instructions for CNADM and Dancewave Auditionees:

If you have auditioned for UB via CNADM or Dancewave, please fill out the registration form below but DO NOT submit an epayment for audition fees – your fee has been covered by your participation in these events.

Audition Application:  

Please prepare the following information before registering for auditions:

  • Contact information.
  • Date/Location you wish to register for.
  • Dance Resume that includes your training history, the names of the teachers you’ve studied with, and the names and emails of two dance references.
  • Career Goal Statement: 1-page essay about why you want to major in dance, why you are considering UB and your long-term goals in the field of dance. 
  • Audition fee $30.*

*Prospective students who receive a fee waiver for the university application process are exempt from this charge.

Live Audition Format:

9am – 11am         Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Improvisation segments

11am - 11:30am     Informal student interview with faculty 

11:30am - noon    Informational session and Q+A 

Please plan to wear clothes that you can move in and that allow us to clearly see your dancing.

UB Dance invites high school juniors, who are considering studying dance in college, to participate in the audition process during our spring undergraduate auditions. Taking part in this audition is a way to gain experience and an understanding of what to expect in the college audition process. Develop the confidence and skills needed for your upcoming senior year auditions by attending! Students will fully participate in the 2-hour audition class and will receive individual feedback from a UB faculty member directly following the audition. Students are encouraged to attend the 30 minute UB Dance information session immediately following.

To register, complete the form below and register under “Junior Audition Experience”. Please be sure to select which date you prefer.

After your registration fee of $30.00 is received, you will receive a confirmation email.

Please note that this is not an official audition for acceptance into the UB Dance program.
