The University at Buffalo’s Department of Theatre and Dance will hold a Modern 1 placement audition for Dance Minors on Sunday, August 23, 2026. The audition will take place from 11:00am-12:00pm in studio B82, Center for the Arts.

This audition is optional – no one is required to attend. Any Dance minor, regardless of their primary major, who wishes to be placed into the Dance Major section of Modern 1 (DAC 201) is encouraged to attend. This course meets Monday/Wednesday from 9:00-10:20am.

If you are not interested in attending this placement audition, you may still register for Open-level dance courses without auditioning. Open Modern is M/W from 12-1:20.
