Now in its fourth season, ChoreoLab is a performance and choreographic research laboratory for faculty, graduate and undergraduate dance students, and guest artists. Under the direction of Clinical Assistant Professor Jenna Zavrel, the spring showcase opens next weekend.

The Student Directed Series in the UB Department of Theatre and Dance is where emerging practitioners can challenge themselves artistically while collaborating with peers.  

“I want to combine my interest in pedagogy with experiences to ask, as a teacher, what are the best practices to foster emotional wellness? How do we as teachers not just help students to become good dancers but to be resilient and healthy and successful people in the world?"

This January UB Theatre and Dance was represented at the 55^th annual Kennedy Center Theater Festival at West Chester University in West Chester, PA by four talented students and new THD Costume Shop Manager / Clinical Assistant Professor Zechariah Saenz.

Associate Professor Vincent O'Neill was named the 2022 Buffalo Theatre District Plaza of Stars Inductee for his work as Co-Founder and Artistic Director Emeritus of The Irish Classical Theatre Company.
