Save time and money by earning both your undergraduate degree and your graduate degree at UB.
The College of Arts and Sciences offers a variety of programs for students interested in pursuing combined degrees. These programs accelerate the time to complete both an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree. The condensed format allows students to complete the two degrees in less time (and often with less cost) than the two degrees separately.
Several of our combined degree programs are offered in partnership with other schools at UB.
In partnership with UB School of Law, the College offers an Accelerated BA/JD combined degree program. This 3 + 3 program allows students to apply to the UB School of Law in their junior year. In just six years, rather than the usual seven or more, students in this program graduate from UB with both a bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctor, saving both time and tuition.
In partnership with UB School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, these unique options give you the opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree (a BS in biological sciences or a BA in chemistry) and a doctor of pharmacy degree (PharmD) in just seven years of study.
In partnership with UB School of Social Work, the BA/MSW combined degree program leads to a bachelor's degree in social sciences interdisciplinary with a concentration in health and human services and a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. The program length to earn the BA/MSW is 5 years.
The UB Teach combined degree program is a 3 + 2 program in conjunction with UB’s Graduate School of Education. Students take their undergraduate courses in the subject they want to teach and complete their master’s in education. Once the program is completed, students are eligible for the New York State professional teaching certification in grades 5-12.
