Social Sciences Interdisciplinary Program

Social Studies Interdisciplinary Students working together in a conference room.

The Social Sciences Interdisciplinary Program offers students an opportunity to focus on a particular thematic area of study, examining timely and relevant topics associated with our ever-changing world. The interdisciplinary nature of the program means that our students learn across traditional departmental boundaries, taking courses from various academic departments at the university.

Experiential Learning

Deepen your understanding of the world beyond the typical classroom setting.

  • Add international experience and broader context to your learning by studying abroad
  • Fulfill course requirements through an internship in a relevant field, working with people and organizations you may encounter in your future career

Career-Focused

An undergraduate degree in the social sciences gives students the opportunity to pursue graduate studies or a nearly endless array of employment options. Many of our students have gone on to successful careers in social work, health services, education, government, social advocacy, research and policy or the justice system.
