A minor in Religion and Gender studies prepares students to examine the complex relationship between religious traditions, gendering, and sexuality. The minor introduces students to the historical development of a wide range of religious traditions, their major sources, doctrines, and rituals. It provides theoretical models for better understanding how religious myths, rituals, and institutions shape gendering and sexualities, past and present.
Acceptance Criteria: Minimum GPA of 2.000 overall
Minimum Grade: C+ in one of the lower level required classes
Total Credit Hours: 18
Religion and Gender Studies Core Courses (6 credits)
Four Religion and Gender Studies Electives (12 credits)*
Three of the electives must be at the 300/400-level
