Timothy Hellwig is a professor in the Department of Political Science at the University at Buffalo. His interests are in the areas of comparative political economy, political behavior, political parties, and research methods. Much of his work examines the implications of changes in post-industrial economies on policy preferences, voting decisions, and political representation. His work has appeared in the American Journal of Political Science, British Journal of Political Science, and Journal of Politics, among others. He joined the department in the 2023, having previously served on the faculty of Indiana University.
