Abby Matthews is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at UB. Her work broadly explores the practices of American courts and the role of the judiciary in the development of jurisprudence and specific domains of law. She is also a scholar of state politics, and gender and inequality with publications in both law reviews and political science journals. Prior to joining the faculty at UB in 2020, Professor Matthews taught at Miami University, Ohio.
