Anthropology

What is Anthropology?

Combining biology, history and social sciences, anthropology is the only discipline that examines and attempts to understand humankind as a whole. The UB Department of Anthropology encourages students to actively participate in their education, embrace the interdisciplinary nature of the field and develop a global lens on human diversity.
