What is Mathematics?
Mathematics is the fundamental science of quantity, space and structure. One of the most striking phenomena of the 21st Century is the increasing use of advanced mathematics across disciplinary boundaries. The UB Department of Mathematics trains students to develop their analytical problem-solving skills for an ever-expanding roster of careers.
