The College is organized into shared services teams in an effort to better support departments, programs, centers and institutes and to improve and streamline processes and procedures.
CAS Educational Technology (CASet) provides comprehensive information technology services and support to the College of Arts and Sciences, excluding the five departments within the Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NSM) disciplines. CASet partners with faculty and staff to meet instructional, research and administrative needs by providing services and consultation on matters relating to information technology.
The College of Arts and Sciences Marketing and Communications team raises the College’s profile, creates brand awareness, highlights our faculty, boasts research strengths, spotlights student excellence and assists to engage alumni.
Our mission is to enhance the sponsorship of research and creative activity of faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences. Working in concert with the University at Buffalo offices of Sponsored Projects Services and the Office of Research Advancement, we provide professional training, guidance and administrative support to faculty and staff pursuing external funding for research, service and scholarly activities.
The College of Arts and Sciences online learning can help you design courses, improve existing course content and learn how to use UB-supported online tools to develop engaging classes and videos.

The Facilities Planning and Management Office (FPMO) at the College of Arts and Sciences strategically develops and implements space planning solutions tailored to both current and future needs, while managing physical space resources, overseeing facility improvements, ensuring building code compliance, and executing a dynamic 3-year capital plan.
SUNY released the Telecommuting Policy on August 2, 2021. The policy will support telecommuting and flexible work, where it is reasonable to do so, based on the University’s mission, operational and program needs. Employees in the College of Arts and Sciences should review the process and timelines and discuss the policy with their supervisors prior to requesting telecommuting under the pilot program.
