Undergraduate Commencement: Staff Participation

Staff will be assigned to various roles such as: welcoming parents and families, escorting guests to accessible seating areas, staffing check-in booths, helping students with their regalia, monitoring the photo booth and assisting with social media. Thank you for making undergraduate commencement a memorable celebration for our graduates and their families!

Both ceremonies will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026 in Broadview Arena (formerly known as Alumni Arena) on North Campus. 

The morning ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. and serve the following departments/programs: Art; Biological Sciences; Chemistry; Communicative Disorders and Sciences; Earth Sciences; Mathematics; Media Study; Music; Psychology; Physics; Theatre and Dance

The afternoon ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. and serve the following departments/programs: Africana and American Studies; Anthropology; Asian Studies; Classics; Communication; Environment and Sustainability; Economics; English; Geography; Global Gender and Sexuality Studies; History; Indigenous Studies; Jewish Thought; Linguistics; Philosophy; Political Science; Romance Languages and Literatures; Sociology and Criminology; Social Sciences Interdisciplinary; Special Studies
