Students complete their undergraduate political science coursework in three years and transition into School of Law for their first-year JD studies. Application Process

The BA/JD program is designed for driven Political Science majors. Here's a snapshot of the process:

  1. Complete Your Undergraduate Coursework: Fulfill your Political Science major requirements during your first three years.
  2. Apply to Law School: Submit your application by February 1 of your junior year and meet the School of Law's eligibility requirements.
  3. Start Law School in Year Four: Transition to the School of Law, where your first-year JD courses also count toward completing your bachelor’s degree.

Early advice on eligibility and course planning from the College of Arts and Sciences or the Political Science Director of Undergraduate Studies is strongly encouraged.
