The Artist:

Jonathan Podwil is an artist based in Brooklyn, NYC.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA, 1966 and studied at the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and Konstskola Forum (Malmö, Sweden).

He has exhibited in New York City, Canada, Sweden, Italy, and has had several solo and two person shows in Vienna, Austria.  His work has been reviewed in ARTFORUM, WhiteHot Magazine, The New Yorker, Gothamist, The New York Sun (United States), Der Standard, Eikon, Artmagazine.cc, and Wiener Zeitung (Austria)  La Stampa and La Republicca (Italy) 

Works are in the collection of the Austrian National Film Archive, the Ursula Blickle Video Archive (Belvedere Museum) Vienna, and LaSalle University Art Museum, Philadelphia.
