tudents precisely measured an existing Skilsaw brand contractor saw. Each student built detailed models of two component parts, in Rhino 8 3D modeling software, and those digital models were exported to digital fabrication tools (laser cutter, three axis CNC router and 3D printer), in order to produce a 1:1 replica of the saw.
This work was conducted in Fall 2025 by students enrolled in ART333: 3D Modeling and Digital Fabrication, taught by Chris Siano.
This exhibition presents the final collaborative Skilsaw replica, as well as artifacts of the fabrication process.
