Apply to the Graduate Interdisciplinary Program

Fall Application Deadline: May 1
Spring Application Deadline: November 1

Once you are ready to submit your application, review the checklist below:

  1. Complete the online application form.
  2. Two letters of recommendation.
  3. Electronic copies of transcripts.
  4. Personal statement detailing why IDP is the right program for you, and how it might help you accomplish your research/career goals. 
  5. Curriculum Vitae/Resume
Non-refundable application fee: $75

After you submit your UB graduate application, you’ll be prompted to make your payment online by credit card or ACH through Nelnet.

U.S. citizens or current permanent residents may request a fee waiver through the application portal after completing the graduate application and uploading all required materials.

International students should also submit the following:

  1. English Language Proficiency score.
